Sheila L. Speller is president and founder of Orielle Creative Company LLC, a boutique consulting company for creative artists and creative professionals, arts organizations and entertainment companies. Orielle Creative Company was established to provide creative individuals of all disciplines with an environment to obtain services and resources that assist in organizing their creative life with business tools -- to create a manageable and profitable lifestyle.

Sheila is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes, in the performing arts and entertainment industry.

As president of Orielle Creative Company, she now combines her wealth of knowledge from both the creative and business arenas, to help empower artists and creative professionals to assist them with integrating the business of their artistic discipline into their creative life, to reach their full potential.

As a professional actor and member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and Actors' Equity Association (AEA), she has worked on stage, in film, television and commercials, and on daytime soaps. She has worked as a model in commercial print and plus fashion for the past 10 years. Also a private acting coach, she has worked with diverse clientele over the past 8+ years and assisted actors with: crafting a monologue, audition preparation, marketing for actors, and "the business of the business". She honed directing skills in theatre and short film, and worked on various projects as producer. As an independent casting director, she cast her directing debut film project from a response of over 200 New York City actors.

Ms. Speller has experience in the field of non-profit arts in the area of Development, Grants and Grant Research, Fundraising and Special Events and has worked with the Westchester Arts Council and the Dance Theatre of Harlem. In the entertainment industry, she has worked with Ron Delsener Enterprises, producer of the Jones Beach Summer Concerts, as well as concerts for Madison Square Garden, Nassau Coliseum and the Beacon Theatre, working in the area of concert promotion and marketing, and tour scheduling. She held a position at SpringGreene Marketing, a film and video marketing company where she worked on product placement and nation-wide marketing/special events projects for film including "Dirty Dancing", "Pippi Longstocking" and "Wild Orchid", to name a few.

Ms. Speller attended Howard University in Washington, DC and earned a B.A. degree in Dance and Theatre from the University of Maryland at College Park. At New York University, was enrolled in the Masters program working towards her degree in Arts Administration. Having completed one year, she made the decision to obtain hands-on experience in the field and in turn completed coursework towards a Certificate from the School of Continuing and Professional Studies in Entertainment Public Relations and Entertainment Marketing. Ms. Speller holds an M.B.A. in Media Management from the Metropolitan College of New York. She is a Dean's List graduate, establishing herself by completing her M.B.A. Magna Cum Laude. The M.B.A. with a specialization in Media Management focuses on the industries of Film, Television, Theatre, Arts Administration, Music, Radio, Publishing, Cable, and core business concentration in Finance, Media Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Entertainment Law, Contracts & Negotiation, E-Commerce & Internet Business Models, and Entrepreneurship.

She served as Chairperson for the Conference Agenda and Speakers Committee coordinating a panel of notable media industry professionals for the conference "Looking towards the Future: Trends in Media" held in Tribeca. All money raised from the event was donated to ArtStart, a non-profit charitable organization that provides at-risk children and adolescents in New York City with opportunities to learn, create, and communicate through the arts and media.

Ms. Speller attended the 57th Annual Cannes Film Festival to participate in the "Marché du Film", the international film buyers and distributors market in Cannes, France. She attended the Commercial Theatre Institute annual conference "Producing for the Theatre" in the past two years, and has been nominated and accepted into the CTI Producer's Program and completed the 14-week commitment in May 2007. The Commercial Theatre Institute is a project of the Theater Development Fund (TDF) and The League of American Theatres and Producers, Inc. She is a Board Member of New York Coalition of Professional Women in the Arts & Media, and is a member of New York Women in Film and Television.  Orielle Creative Company is an organization member of the Harlem Arts Alliance, and a Freelance Consultant/Museum Educator with the Studio Museum in Harlem.

Ms. Speller is an informative and dynamic public speaker who presents on a range of arts and entertainment industry topics. She has been invited to speak at The College of New Rochelle - Brooklyn Campus and the Rosa Parks Campus - Harlem, at the Metropolitan College of New York, and for the Upward Bound Program at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, as well as other industry and community events. She is a volunteer Work Group Leader for Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO), a 16-week workshop, 'How to Build a Growing Profitable Business' for entrepreneurs in NYC, and is a past-Board Member of GO-TV, Greater Ossining Television where she served on the Board of Directors as a volunteer in her community for two years.
